Back by popular demand, our yoga and brunch is the most the relaxing and delicious fundraiser of the season. We will begin with gentle yoga on the lawn at 10:00 with Harwinton’s favorite yoga instructor Gail Rosin, followed by a brunch buffet. You don’t yoga? No problem. Come at 11:00 for brunch and mimosas.
The brunch buffet will feature fresh bagels, spreads and lox, home-baked sweets, fruit, coffee, and mimosas. Open to folks of all ages. Please bring your friends and family.

Over 50 years ago, New York State assemblyman George Michaels cast a single vote that changed the course of American history but destroyed his political career in the process. For the first time, Deciding Vote shares the story of how Michaels defied his conservative constituents by casting the critical tie-breaking vote on a bill which legalized abortion in the state of New York, laying the groundwork for Roe v Wade. The film is a moving tribute to a now-forgotten act of political courage. Film run time 20 min.
The film will be followed by a panel discussion with the filmmaker and Rep. Eleni Kavros DeGraw, Candidate for State Senate Paul Honig, moderated by author Carrie Lenarcic Firestone.
